This is an opportunity to acquire a substantial area
of forest and woodland in Bistrita area of
Transylvania. The available property is comprised
of three similarly sized parcels of land, and
totals a little more than one thousand hectares,
or just over 10 million square metres.


This mainly mature woodland ,with trees aged
between 20 and 100 years, mostly Spruce. Romania
has more than 6 million hectares of forest, 27%
of the total surface of the country. This
particular land is an area of 'outstanding
beauty', and also is accessible by local roads,
and power supplies are available. A hydro-
electric dam is available for purchase with
sufficient energy to service the local population
of more than 100,000.

There is ample wild life, including bears, wolves,
wild boar, deer, and birds of prey and the
property has hunting and fishing rights included
in the sale price. These are heavily monitored
and there are strict quotas. This forest/mountain
area has probably the largest known bear
population all over Europe.


We understand that approval is in place to cut up
to 4,000 metres of wood per annum. This may be
transported on local roads, controlled by local
authorities. This may be transported on local
authority, for which there is a charge of $ 1.5
per cubic metre . There are rights of access
through the local roads which may not be blocked or obstructed.
